Gunji was from Ebizuka Mid and dominated the school after the Ebizuka Trio left. He always looked up to Pon and joined Suzuran after him, but he was disappointed when he saw them relaxed, as they got weak under Bouya's wings.
He wasn't able to win the freshmen war but was challenged by Pon anyway.
During the fight against the
Snake Heads, Zetton, Hideyoshi, Gunji, Kome and Masa went after Bouya, as it was a chance in a lifetime to see three of the Four Kings in action together. They got into some fights and later helped the Harumichi Family in the last battle.
Gunji had an encounter with the Kai Gang and Kai pulled a knife against him and cut his face. Later Gunji found Kai again and beat him, this made Kai snap and start a war against the New Four Kings, in the end one of the members of Kai Gang hired Kuzugami Tatsuo to take the New Four Kings down.
Gunji would later form his own Suzuran faction, with Harada Tokio as his right-hand.
On King Joe's move against Suzuran he sent Tsukimoto Mitsunobu and Mitsuyoshi to take Gunji out of the battle.
