He and his friend Takanashi Osamu were the strongest fighters on their city, so they decided to go to Toarushi to find new challenges and look for the legendary Rindaman.
They met Maruken and after Osamu being defeated he decided to introduce them to Bulldog. They become good friends with the Kurotaki Alliance, and after the fight between Bulldog and Ishii Tsuyoshi they decided to join the alliance with the other schools.
Chiaki is very strong but not much confident. He was able to knock out Parko with a single kick after seeing his friend Osamu beaten. Parko later went to their school for a second round and won.
After graduation Chiaki joined the Tenzan Construction Company with Ishikawa.
