He was a freshman that used to be bullied by Akutsu Futoshi. He met Harumichi Bouya on a train, who promised to help him but was only interested in meeting his sister.
Yasu became Bouya's right hand and best friend. After the Bandou Faction defeat he formed the Harumichi Family, without Bouya's consent, hoping to become the 2nd man in Suzuran.
He was kidnapped during the T.F.O.A. war to lure Bouya to a trap. During the war he met Susumu Sagawa, who was as bad luck as him and they become friends. Later he become friends with Tamasu Tsuyoshi too.
